At Palo Alto Networks, our values of disruption, execution, collaboration, integrity and inclusion guide everything we do to protect our digital way of life. Those values are deeply held principles of the women and men who have proudly represented our Armed Services. Our shared vision of a world where each day is safer and more secure than the one before – is fundamental to who we are. So, it is by design that hiring veterans is critical to Palo Alto Networks success.

Veterans' leadership, adaptability, problem-solving, teamwork and commitment help drive our customers to a safer digital future. Our veterans have found a new mission in cybersecurity, shifting from battlefields to the latest, most demanding threat of our age.

Our philosophy starts with our board members and executives, and continues into our recruiting teams, with every individual committed to hiring and developing veterans across every business function.

As a proud Military Friendly® Employer and founded by military veterans, we've formed our Veterans Program to help veterans and transitioning service members foster new skills and enjoy successful careers in cybersecurity.

Veterans Overview

As the son of a late Indian Air Force officer, I have a deep and personal regard for those who serve in the military. When I think about the increasingly complex cybersecurity challenges that governments and industries face, I know that veterans—many of whom bring specialized training and expertise into their civilian careers—will be a critical resource for Palo Alto Networks. We remain committed to engaging, supporting, training, and hiring veterans across the world. Nikesh Arora, CEO

What makes cybersecurity a great career for veterans?

Education

Palo Alto Networks isn’t just a veteran friendly company, we are firmly committed to veteran’s education in cybersecurity outside of our organization, too. To that end, we provide free digital learning courses enabling a veteran to learn everything from the basics of malware to managing a global infrastructure of Next-Gen Firewalls. Along the way, veterans can demonstrate their knowledge by becoming certified, providing meaningful skills veterans can utilize throughout the cybersecurity industry.

We offer three levels of certification:

  • (PCCSA) Palo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate
  • (PCNSA) Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator
  • (PCNSE) Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer.
We believe that you need to train like you fight, in that we provide veterans with hands-on practice labs to build muscle memory and arm them practical cyber defender skills. Whether your transition to the civilian world happened yesterday or four decades ago, you are needed to help fight the global scourge of cyber-attacks. Becoming a Palo Alto Networks certified cyber defender will help fast-track your career into the rapidly growing, challenging and rewarding field of cybersecurity! We are the global cybersecurity leader, known for always challenging the security status quo. Our mission is to protect our way of life in the digital age by preventing successful cyberattacks.
